Legal Agreement

These public terms recreate the exported terms package for AfterClass while keeping Chamberlin Innovations SASU as the operating entity.

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing AfterClass, you agree to these Terms. If you are a teacher, school administrator, or training operator, you agree to these Terms on behalf of your institution and learners where applicable.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the service.

2. Accounts and Billing

2.1 Access Plans

AfterClass offers paid access plans, trial access, and promotional offers. Billing terms, feature scope, and plan eligibility are presented before checkout or activation.

2.2 Subscription Cadence

Monthly plans renew automatically until cancelled. One-time offers, including founder-style access where offered, are billed once and begin after confirmed payment.

2.3 Refunds

Fees are non-refundable once access has started, except where a refund is required by applicable law, including mandatory European consumer protections for unused digital services when relevant.

2.4 Dormancy

If an account remains inactive for 24 consecutive months, we may archive associated data to maintain service performance. We will attempt to contact the account owner before archival when practical.

3. School and Training Provider Use

3.1 Fair Use

Shared or institution-level use of AfterClass must remain within normal instructional and operational usage. We may review unusual activity to protect stability and abuse-prevention safeguards.

3.2 Authorized Users

Accounts, seats, and workspace access are granted to the named user or permitted organization members. Sharing one teacher account across a larger team without authorization is prohibited.

3.3 Learner Data Responsibility

Schools, teachers, and training providers remain responsible for ensuring they have the lawful authority to upload learner data and use the service within their regulatory framework.

4. Intellectual Property and AI

4.1 Your Data

You retain ownership of your learner recordings, transcripts, assignments, and workspace content. You grant us a limited license to process that data solely to operate and improve the service for your account.

4.2 No Public Model Training

The exported policy states that proprietary student audio and workspace content are not used to train general-purpose public AI models for other customers.

5. Liability and Disclaimer

AfterClass is an educational support platform. We do not guarantee specific exam scores, certification outcomes, or business results.

The service is provided on an AS IS basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chamberlin Innovations SASU's liability is limited to the amount you paid us during the previous 12 months.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service in violation of applicable law
  • Upload malicious content or attempt to breach our security
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the service without authorization
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data beyond normal usage
  • Impersonate another user or misrepresent your affiliation

7. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through account settings or by contacting support.

Upon termination, your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.

8. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-product notice at least 30 days before the changes take effect when legally required.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes are subject to the courts of Paris, France.
